About…
Habz is an independent artist, songwriter, and genre-blending storyteller originally from Detroit, now based in Los Angeles. Since his debut in 2017 with a bluesy, urban pop EP laced with trap undertones titled “Pathogens”, Habz has continued to evolve—currently shaping a bold sound in the rock fusion space.
Beyond his solo work, Habz is a prolific writer with major label cuts in the electronic and house music world, crafting hits for other artists while keeping his own pen sharp. A former American Idol contestant (2020), he’s known for writing every lyric he performs, weaving his Arab American identity and lived experiences into conscious, cinematic tracks that resonate with raw emotion and perspective.
Whether behind the mic or behind the scenes, Habz aims to make music that doesn’t just sound good—but means something.
Fun Fact: Habz is also a part of the Call of Duty franchise, appearing as a face in Call of Duty: WWII, released in 2017.
